Volunteers from The Hospital Charity Shop have raised thousands of pounds for lifeboat crew members.

The Hartlepool charity shop which has seven volunteers have donated £5,000 towards new life jackets for the RNLI crews after selling clothing and bric-a-brac.

Over years the shop also known as The Little Green Shop has donated a quarter of a million pounds to worthy causes and their recent donation will go towards the new £9,000 life jackets.

Volunteers raise £5k for life jackets.
